Step 1: Prepare Cake Batter
In a large bowl, add all-purpose flour, unsweetened cocoa powder, granulated white sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, unsalted melted butter, warm water, lemon juice, vanilla extract and mix all the ingredients together until well blended. To bake chocolate cake, preheat oven to 350F. Grease and flour round cake pan.
Step 2: Bake the chocolate cake
Pour chocolate cake batter into the prepared cake pan. Place cake pan in the oven and bake for 30 minutes. Remove cake pan from the oven and cool it completely.
Step 3: Prepare Chocolate Frosting
To make chocolate frosting, in a large bowl add chopped butter and beat until fluffy. Add confectioner's sugar, unsweetened cocoa powder, milk, vanilla extract and beat until smooth. To decorate chocolate cake, spread chocolate frosting over the cake. Use chocolate frosting bag and design the bottom of the cake.
Step 4: Assemble Chocolate Cake
Pour melted chocolate over the cake, allowing some to drop down the sides. Again use chocolate frosting bag and make a design on the top of the cake. Place strawberry one by one on top of the cake then place edible rose fondant on the top. Your chocolate cake is ready. Yummy!
