Step 1: Prepare Beef Sauce

To prepare beef sauce, add lean ground beef in a frying pan over medium heat, stir it and cook lean ground beef until brown. Add chopped onion, minced garlic and stir it well, drain fats. Add chopped basil, dried oregano, brown sugar, salt, diced tomatoes, tomato paste and mix together well. Cook for 45 minutes, stirring occasionally. Remove beef sauce from the heat and transfer to large bowl.

Step 2: Prepare Ricotta Cheese Mixture

To prepare ricotta cheese mixture, in a medium bowl add eggs, ricotta cheese, parmesan cheese, dried parsley, salt and mix together well. Set aside.

Step 3: Assemble Lasagna

To assemble lasagna, spread thin layer of beef sauce into casserole dish. Add lasagna sheet layer over beef sauce. Spread ricotta cheese mixture over lasagna sheets. Sprinkle shredded mozzarella cheese over ricotta cheese mixture. Repeat same process for second layer. Top with remaining beef sauce and lasagna sheets. Finally spread beef sauce over lasagna sheets and sprinkle grated parmesan cheese over the top.

Step 4: To Bake and Serve Lasagna

To bake and serve lasagna, preheat the oven at 375 degrees. Spray foil paper with cooking spray. Cover casserole dish with foil paper. Place casserole dish in the oven and bake for 30 minutes until lasagna is browned on top. Remove casserole dish from the oven. Remove foil paper and keep lasagna for 10 minutes before serving. Cut lasagna and transfer in a serving plate and garnish with chopped parsley. Serve lasagna with toasted bread, sliced tomato and sliced cucumber. Your Lasagna is ready to serve!

  • 1 pint part-skim Ricotta Cheese
  • 2 tbsps Parsley, dried
  • 12 boiled Lasagna sheets
  • 2 tbsps Grated Parmesan Cheese
  • 1 pound Mozzarella Cheese, shredded
  • chopped Parsley for garnish
  • sliced Tomato
  • toasted Bread
  • sliced Cucumber
