Step 1: Make Pizza Dough

In a medium bowl, add warm water, honey and stir it until the honey dissolves. Add dry yeast and stir it until it dissolves. Keep the yeast mixture for 5 minutes, until the mixture gets a little foamy. In a large bowl, add flour, salt and stir it well. Then add olive oil and yeast mixture. Stir flour into wet ingredients, until all the flour is incorporated and knead until it’s smooth and elastic. Shape the dough into a ball and add little olive oil over it.

Cover the dough with plastic wrap or moist towel and keep it in a warm place until it becomes double in bulk, for about 1-1/2 hours.

Step 2: Prepare Barbecued Chicken

In a frying pan, add chicken cubes and 1/2 cup barbecue sauce. Stir it and saute until the chicken is just cooked through, for about 6 minutes. Remove barbecued chicken cubes from heat and set aside.

Step 3: Make Pizza Crust

Remove plastic wrap from the dough. Sprinkle little flour on the cutting board and place pizza dough on it. Roll out the dough into a 13-inch circle. Place pizza base on a sprayed 12-inch pizza pan. Build up the edges slightly. Poke pizza base several times with a fork to prevent bubbles from forming. Place pizza pan on the electric grill. Cover and grill over medium heat for 10-15 minutes, until the bottom is lightly browned. Remove pizza crust from the grill.

Step 4: Bake and Serve

To make pizza, spread remaining 1/2 cup barbecue sauce over surface of pizza crust.

Layer with barbecued chicken cubes, green pepper, red pepper, diced tomato, sliced mushrooms and sprinkle grated mozzarella cheese on the top. Place pizza pan back in the grill.

  • 1 tsp Salt
  • 1 cup Barbecue Sauce
  • 6 ounce Boneless Chicken Breast, cubed
  • 1/2 Small Green Pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 Small Red Pepper, cut into thin strips
  • 1/2 cup Sliced Mushrooms
  • 1 Small Tomato, diced
