Step 1: Prepare Chocolate Mixture
In a saucepan on medium heat, melt 3/4 cups of butter and 1/3 cup of the chocolate chips. Stir until smooth. Stir graham cracker crumbs and peanuts. Pour this mixture into a buttered pan. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes or until set.
Step 2: Prepare Cream Mixture
In a mixing bowl, beat together the cream cheese, sugar and vanilla until smooth. Now take out the refrigerated batter and spread the cream cheese mixture over the bottom layer.
Step 3: Refrigerate Chocolate & Cheese Mixture
Melt the remaining 2/3 cup of chocolate chips until smooth. Carefully spread this over the cream cheese layer. Cover and refrigerate for 30 minutes until set. Cut into desired squares.
Step 4: Garnish Chocolate Cream Cheese Bars
Garnish with cream cheese and peanuts. Your dish is ready to be served!
