Step 1: Prepare Apple Mixture
Peel off green apples and chop them . Add vegan butter to the pan and pour maple syrup in it. Now add chopped apples, powdered cinnamon, vanilla extract, and lemon juice to the mixture and stir it well. Cook for a while and then leave the mixture to cool. Now refrigerate it for sometime.

Step 2: Prepare Dough
Add yeast, warm water and sugar in a bowl and mix it finely. Now add salt, apple sauce, baking powder, maple syrup, canola oil, cinnamon powder, water and pastry flour to the mixture. Let the dough to dry for 30-40 minutes.  

Step 3: Prepare Apple Dumplings

Spread some flour on the chopping board and drop dough on the board. Flatten the dough in an oval shape and sprinkle some cinnamon powder on it. Now spread sugar and then make a layer of apple mixture on it. Roll the dough in a spiral shape and cut into thick slices. Drop parchment paper on a baking dish and transfer the dough slices into baking sheet. Sprinkle cinnamon powder and sugar on the top of each slice. Place the baking sheet in oven and bake for 25 minutes at 375 degree.

Step 4: Serve Apple Dumplings

Your delicious apple dumplings are ready. Now serve the dessert with ice cream.

Ingredients

For Apple Mixture:

  • 2 Medium Green Apples
  • 2-3 tbsp vegan Butter
  • 2 tbsp Lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • 1/2 tsp Vanilla Extract
  • 1/2 tsp Maple Syrup

For Dough:

  • 1 Packet Yeast
  • 1/4; Cup Warm Water
  • Pinch of Dry Sugar
  • ½ Cup Apple Sauce
  • 1 tsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Salt
  • ¼ cup Canola Oil
  • ½ tsp Cinnamon Powder
  • ¾ Cup Water
  • 1 tbsp Maple Syrup
  • 3-4 Cups Pastry Flour
  • 1 Cup Pastry Flour
  • 1 tbsp Powdered Sugar
